Atlas comes from a line of some famous mares in Holland! His Great Grandmother, a Model preferent Mare, has taken the Breeding Day Champion Title in Bergum 1970 and 1971. She had 4 ster daughters, one of which was also preferent and as a 3 year old was 1st in Harness AND conformation at the Breeding Day in Blauwhuis. Subsequently she took part in show driving contests with rankings in the top 4. Another of her daughters was Reserve Champion in Ermelo 1987 and her daughter was Youth Champion in that breeding area. Another  grand daughter was especially beautiful and was Youth Champion in Esbeek AND the Central Inspection 1983.

Atlas's Great Great Grandmother, a Ster Preferent Mare, was also written about in the Dutch Mare Books. As a 2 year old she was 1st premie at the Central Inspection. She won first prize for performance in 1964 and 1966. Her descendants were of high quality. One foal took the Breeding Day's Best Foal Title 3 times! 4 successive Best Breeding Group Titles 1967 through 1970. She, her mother and grandmother all liked to perform and were high spirited.

Atlas has the breeding AND rated STER as a Stallion, which gives him the potential to be a fantastic Dressage Mount. Atlas has been in full time training and has also been trail ridden on a regular basis. Atlas has a beautiful powerful trot and a LONG walk with overreach from behind. He has a nice uphill canter. He knows leg yielding, has nice collection and is very comfortable to sit. He is kind natured, sensitive and responds very well to encouragement and is quite talented with great work ethic. A Dressage career would be ideal for Atlas. Please call if you would like to speak with Atlas's trainer for detailed information about Atlas under saddle.
