Ypkje is a Tall and Stunning 10 Year Old 1st Premie Ster Preferent Mare.  As a foal, she was awarded the 1st Premie Rating and stood in the Champion's Ring of the Blauhuis  Keuring in Holland.  Ypkje is 16.2 Hands Tall, Ypkje was awarded the "Ster" Predicate, proving that she has the Ideal Conformation and Movements desired by the Royal Studbook. At the Oct 1, 2008 Inspection, Ypkje barely missed obtaining the 1st Premie Ster Rating, by a HALF point in the walk!  At the 2009 Inspection, Ypkje finally reclaimed her 1st Premie Status, also becoming the Reserve Champion Mare of the Day!

Ypkje is a Fantastic Producing Mare!  Her first filly (2003), sired by Mintse, was awarded the 1st Premie at Blauhuis, then as a 3 year old, became 1st Premium Ster Mare, Champion of the 3 year and older mares and overall Champion of the day!  Her 2nd filly (2004), Sired by Rindert, became a 2nd Premie as a foal and  in 2007, as a 3 year old, became 1st Premie Ster and Best of her Group in Drachten, Holland!  Ypkje's 3rd filly (2005), again sired by Mintse, became a 3rd Premie as a foal because she didn't want to leave Ypkje's side and so did not show off her potential, THOUGH, on August 26, 2008, as a 3 Year Old, she did become a 2nd Premie Ster Mare in Warga, Holland!  Ypkje's 4th foal (2006) is a colt by Jasper 366 who became 1st Premie Champion Colt and Best of the Day as quoted by the Judges, then in 2009 as a 3 year old, Tettrino became a Ster Stallion and earned his mother the awesome Preferent title!. Then, Ypkje's 5th Foal (2007), a colt by Tsjalke 397, was 2nd Premie Colt Champion. Her 6th Foal (2008), another colt by Tsjalke 397,was inspected on October 1, 2008. He became a 2nd Premie and Reserve Champion Foal! So, not only does Ypkje have Wonderful Conformation and Movements, but she is passing them on, even better than herself, to her Offspring! So Far,100% of her offspring, of age to be awarded the STER predicate, have captured the title with honors!

The Fertility and Quality in this Pedigree can definitely speak for it's self!  Look at all of those Model and Preferent Mares in her Direct Motherline!  Ypkje's Mother, Hetske, delivered no less than 18 Foals!  Of those 18 Foals, 1 became the Approved Stallion, Thomas 327!  She also has 1 Model Daughter, 4 Ster Daughters,1 Ster Gelding and a Ster Stallion.  There are still offspring left to be graded.  Of Hetske's Offspring who were old enough to be graded, she is producing over 54% Ster Offspring!  That's up there with some of the Very Best Approved Stallions!   In October 2007 Hetske became Double Preferent "Crown Jewel"!  Sadly, Hetske passed away the next day. Hetske's Mother produced no fewer than 13 Foals and is, also, a Preferent Mare.

We are Thrilled to Welcome Ypkje to our Home in the US!   We are trying her for further Status within the Studbook.  Ypkje has Fantastic Character and is a joy to Drive.  She is also trained Under Saddle

Ypkje is in foal to Sipke 450 (Teade x Ulke x Leffert) for a 2010 Foal!
